Syrian PM hails Iranian media for extensive coverage of news on Syria, war on terrorism

Khamis said, 'Information is one of the infrastructures of cultural developments and it plays an pivotal role in the current situation of the region, especially cultural assault and Takfiri thoughts attack.'

He appreciated Iran's people and government for helping Syria and stressed expansion of media relations through providing media infrastructures and continuous cooperation.

Ali-Asgari said in the meeting, 'Iran has 62 TV and 88 radio channels broadcast for the state, region and globe.'

He also hoped that Iranians' trips to Syria will continue soon and the path to development and progress will return to its natural course.

During his stay in Syria, ali-Asgari signed the protocol of cooperation between Iranians and Syrian media with Syrian Information Minister Mohammad Ramez Tourjman.
