Suicide bomber killed in Kabul before reaching target

No causalities were left after the explosion that took place at noon near a park on Shahr-e No Street in northwestern Kabul.

Afghan Minister of Interior Affairs Wais Barmak confirmed that the explosion has happened and added that the bomber was intended to approach and target a group of social activists gathered together to donate blood.

Barmak reiterated that the suicide bomber was gunned down by the police before getting to the crowd.

Also, on Sunday, in Khost, eastern Afghanistan, at least 13 people were killed by an explosion at a mosque used as a voter registration center.
