Speaker: Conditions ripe to put economy back on track

Addressing a dinner banquet in Iran’s Embassy in Sri Lanka, he added that Iran has always had good relations with Sri Lanka, as the two countries have had excellent cooperation in the international fora.

Despite ups and downs in bilateral relations, the two countries’ ties were never broken off, he said.

There are some problems with Sri Lanka in certain economic fields which should be solved, he said.

He also called for boosting exports of products and technical services, saying that grounds for exports should be prepared and exporters must be provided with incentives.

Iran’s current fiscal year’s budget has considered incentives for exporters as part of the efforts to promote exports, Larijani said.

The Majlis speaker also said that embassies should focus on the issue of exports and adopt necessary measures to that effect.
