South Korea official: Iran committed to its obligations under JCPOA

He made the remarks in a meeting with spokesman for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naghavi Hosseini.

South Koran and Iran play a significant role in establishing peace and stability in the Middle East region, he said.

Global developments and political issues should not prevent expansion of relations between Tehran and Seoul, he said.

Naghavi Hosseini, for his part, said IAEA in various official statements has verified Iran's commitment to JCPOA and other parties are expected to do so.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is well prepared for any scenarios, Naghavi Hosseini said.

Referring to regional developments, he said the world public opinion is now fully aware of Daesh crimes in Iraq and Syria.

The world also knows that the US that pretends to be fighting Daesh has actually created and supported the terrorist group, he said.

Tehran believes that all disputes can be resolved through negotiations, he said.

The Iranian MP described relations between Iran and South Korea as positive and called for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.
