South Korea calls for development of ties with Iran

There are common understandings between Iran and South Korea parliaments to develop bilateral cooperation, Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea Chung Sye-kyun said in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Seoul Hassan Taherian.

He called for increase of Korean companies' activity in Iran and said that good relations between the two countries' parliaments can lead to promotion of all-out ties between Tehran and Seoul.

The South Korean official invited the Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to visit that country.

During the meeting, the Iranian envoy, for his part, called for promotion of cooperation between the two countries' parliaments to pave the way for the elevation of cooperation in economic, political, industrial and cultural fields.

'The role of parliaments in broadening political, economic, commercial, industrial and cultural cooperation between the two countries is essential,' he said.
