'Despite the attempts by terrorist groups to harm the security, all of them have so far been identified and arrested, and we will have a safe Quds Day, God willing,' Mahmoud Alavi told reporters on Thursday.
Members of several terrorist groups that were planning for terrorist attacks have been arrested and some arms, munitions, and explosives were seized, he said.
The details of the terrorist groups and the process of their arrest will be released later following the Quds Day rallies, the minister noted.
On Friday (June 8), people in Iran and all over the world will hold rallies in support of the Palestinians.
The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was named as the Quds Day by the late founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, in 1979.
