Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said during the Eid al-Adha prayers sermon in Tehran that the Iranian people will stand united against enemies of Islam.
Khatami reiterated that during the past 40 years the Iranian people have demonstrated that they would never get frustrated rather they will frustrate enemies.
Millions of Iranian Muslims including the state and military officials and people from all walks of life performed Eid al-Adha Prayer across the country.
Eid al-Adha also called the 'Festival of Sacrifice', like Eid al-Fitr, is an Islamic holiday celebrated by the Muslims worldwide each year.
It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command. Before Abraham could sacrifice his son, God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead.
