Senior cleric calls for pressuring Myanmar to halt Muslim genocide

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific region Ebrahim Rahimpour in Qom on Thursday.

The issue should be on the agenda until improvement of situation, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said.

Rahimpur, for his part, briefed the grand ayatollah on the current catastrophic situation in Myanmar.
