Sanctions not to affect water, energy industries: Energy minister

Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of a ceremony marking the inauguration of several projects in Roudehen, Damavand city, he expressed confidence that that there is no concern about providing services to people as result of sanctions.

“Currently, we are in a condition that we can export services to neighboring states,” he said.

“We are not thinking of severing ties with any country and favor promoting ties as far as our interests are met,” he said.

“We will use all within our power to generate 5,000 megawatts of renewable energy mainly from solar and wind powers by the end of the Sixth Development Plan,” he said.
