Russian president to leave for Iran on Wednesday

According to the statement, Putin together with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Azeri President Ilham Aliyev are supposed to hold talks on political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Russian President is also scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with his Iranian and Azeri counterparts on the sidelines of the trilateral event, the statement continues.

The first trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan was held in Baku on August 2016.

Iranian and Russian presidents have so far held 9 meetings on the sidelines of international events.
