Russia trying to create conditions for cooperation with Iran

The European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini announced a special mechanism for continuing economic cooperation with Iran ahead of November 4th.

The SPV System, designed to continue EU-trade cooperation with Iran, has been designed even with the unilateral US sanctions.

Russia as an member of JCPOA and the Group 1+4 is determined to implement this international agreement, and Russian officials have stepped up efforts to maintain a deal after the departure of the United States.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently said in a speech to the UN General Assembly that his country would do what it needed to save a nuclear deal with Iran.

'Iran has fully complied with its nuclear commitments,' he said at the 73rd UN General Assembly, saying that Moscow would do its best to maintain this agreement.

According to the senior Russian official, the United States has unilaterally withdrawn from the nuclear deal with Iran, while Iran has fully complied with its obligations in this agreement, and Russia is obliged to support a nuclear deal by the UN Security Council approved.

Russian officials believe that the United States, which has gone out of business, is preventing the implementation of this international agreement by other countries.

Ivan Timofiev, director-general of the Russian Council on International Affairs, said, 'Trump plans to destroy it and is working to implement the plan, but the big front of the countries supporting it is to stop the plan by standing against.'
