Russia stresses cooperation with Iran, Turkey on Syria

The trilateral relations and consultations among Iran, Russia and Turkey should continue to return peace and stability to Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted during a phone call with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

He rejected the US and its ally's accusations about the use of chemical weapons by Syrian army and noted that the US-led strike on Syria was a clear violation of international rules and an awful crime.

The US together with its allies, the UK and France targeted the Syrian capital city of Damascus early Saturday.

The US attack on a military base in Homs, western Syria injured 3 civilians, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) earlier reported.

The illegal attack on Syria was condemned by most governments and officials as well as people around the world

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Russian president stressed immediate ceasefire in Yemen and dispatch of humanitarian reliefs to the war-torn country.

He called for increase of coordination between Tehran and Moscow to return peace to Yemen.
