The spokesman for the Ministry Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said in a statement Saturday that all hotbeds of Deash terrorists in Syria are located in the areas where the US forces are deployed, and clarified that “the appearance of Daesh terrorist organization was a result of the US invasion of Iraq under the false pretext of Chemical weapons'.
He added that the “real disaster” of the Syrian people is in the al-Tanf and Raqqa areas, where the US forces are illegally deployed.
Konashinkov said that the vast majority of weapons and ammunition shipments sent by Washington to the so-called Syrian opposition reached the two branches of al-Qaeda in Syria, particularly to the al-Nusra Front and Daesh organizations, whose objectives are consistent with Washington’s policy.
The spokesman pointed out that the expansion of the terrorist organization in Syria came after “the criminal lagging by Washington and the so-called International coalition, which led to the terrorist control of the main oil areas in eastern Syria, which ensured them permanent financial resources from the illegal sale of oil.
Konashinkov made it clear that life returned to normal in the areas where security and stability have been restored after ending the terrorist presence and the people began to return to markets, schools and kindergartens.
