
In a meeting with Sunni scholars and elites, he added that Sunnis were present in all the scenes, especially in elections when they elected their representatives.
“I have said on several occasions that the dignity and social status of all ethnic groups and religions should be safeguarded so that they will actively engage in the country’s affairs,” he said.
Sunni brothers’ engagement in different political and social areas has increased over the past five or six years, as two Sunni dears have been appointed as Iran’s ambassadors abroad, he said, noting that the government considers you honesty border guards of the country.
