During the meeting, President Rouhani underlined the significant and constructive role of Russia in sound implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Leading a delegation and at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, President Rouhani arrived China on Friday evening to attend and deliver a speech at Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
President Rouhani is in China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Qingdao in east coast of China from June 9-10.
Founded in 2001, SCO is an organization with eight member states and four observers, including Iran.
The organization aims at taking measures to counter terrorism and extremism and promote economic cooperation.
