In his decree, President Rouhani hailed Ameli's valuable scientific and managerial records, saying, “By virtue of the decree, I appoint you, who are a committed and highly-educated person, as the secretary of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution for a four-year tenure.”
Rouhani also appreciated the outgoing secretary Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfuli for his efforts in the position.
Earlier, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had appointed Ameli as a member of the council.
The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution is Iran's cultural watchdog based in Qom which was established following the victory of Islamic Revolution in February 1979.
