Political diplomacy set to create safe environment for economic activities

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Fourth International Exhibition of Exchange, Banking, Insurance and Privatization (Kish Invex) late on Monday, he added that the 12th Government is determined to set economic diplomacy department within Foreign Ministry to help domestic economy.

After the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), went into effect, Foreign Ministry tried all parties remain committed to the deal.

Sarmadi further noted that Iran was sanctioned not due to lack of necessary standards, but it was for political purposes.

Iran has also pursued diplomatic solutions for the regional crises and people’s involvement in deciding their fate in the absence of foreign interference, the official said.

Sarmadi also hailed Iran’s counter-terrorism measures, saying that Iran was one of the main parties which seriously pursued ant-terrorism campaign and it has always advocated diplomatic approach rather than military solution.

Fourth International Exchange, Banking, Insurance and Privatization (Kish Invex 2017) opened in Kish Island late on Monday as the country’s biggest economic event and will continue until November 2.

The Exhibition in an area of 21,000 square meters hosts 260 domestic firms and 60 foreign ones from 25 countries.

Holding 21 conferences and domestic and international expert meetings is also among programs of the event.
