Pakistani politician blasts US efforts against Iran Nuclear Deal

'Pakistan must tell Tillerson that any attempts to oppose Iran will be fully opposed by us and the real danger in the Middle East is Israel,' Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Naeem-ul-Haque said in his Twitter message.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is arriving in Islamabad on October 24 for talks with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Earlier Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nafees Zakaria had urged all parties to remain committed to their pledges with regards to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

On Oct 13, US President Donald Trump took a new strategy towards Iran and decertified Tehran's commitment to the JCPOA.

Trump's approach has been criticized by many countries, international bodies, political communities and world media.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani in their statements have said that Tehran would stick to its 2015 nuclear accord with world powers as long as the other signatories respect it, but would shred the deal if Washington pulled out.
