Pakistan FM leaves for Turkey to discuss Afghanistan

During the visit, Asif will hold meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The bilateral relations between Turkey and Pakistan, current regional and international developments including situation in Afghanistan, atrocities against Rohingya Muslims will come under discussion.

Yesterday, Khawaja Asif accompanied by National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua and Foreign Secretary Tahmina Janjua went to Tehran to discuss US policy in Afghanistan with top Iranian officials.

During his meetings with President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif both countries agreed that there could be no military solution to Afghan issue.
