Pakistan FM arrives in Mashad

Governor General of Razavi Khorasan province Alireza Rashidian welcomed Pakistani delegation at the airport.

Secretary of Pakistan Supreme National Security Council Lieutenant General Nasser Khan Janjua accompanied the foreign minister in this trip.

Rashidian said at the airport that Mashad is hosting 200,000 pilgrims from Pakistan annually.

He pointed to good economic relations between Pakistan and Razavi Khorasan province and said that in the first four months of the year, imports from Pakistan and export from Razavi Khorasan province have increased 28 percent in comparison with the same period of preceding year.

The governor general said that after the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan is the second country in importing goods to the province.

He expressed the hope that cooperation between the province and Pakistan to be expanded day by day.

Rashidian said that all necessary grounds for hosting Pakistani pilgrims in Mashad is prepared so that they could receive a desirable services.

Foreign Minister Asif is to pilgrim the 8th Imam shrine and meets with holy shrine officials.
