
“The figure has increased by 10.8 tons, showing a 9% rise compared to the same period last year,” said Arastou Torkaman-Manesh in an interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
“More than 9 tons of the drugs were seized in naval routes, which implies that the land paths are not safe for them,” he said while referring to the shift in trafficking routes from land to water.
He added that the seized consignments were not to be distributed in Bushehr Province, but to be transitted and used in neighboring countries.
