Official: Eurasia Union countries looking for Iranian market opportunity

He told Eco-Moscow Radio following nuclear deal with Iran known as JCPOA, which Russia and European states signed it, Eurasia countries were firmly interested to participate in Iranian market.

Sargsyan said we noticed that following the removal of sanctions against Iran, all big European companies were present in Iran's market.

He added that exported goods from the Eurasian states to Iran are facing a hard competition.

Sargsyan said that member-states of Eurasia economic union have commercial exchanges with Iran worth 2.7 billion dollars annually, while this volume with China is around 100 billion dollars.

He said agreement to create free trade zone between Iran and Eurasia may increase 1.5 billion dollars commercial exchanges volume between these countries.

Iran and Eurasia Economic Union signed an interim agreement on May 17, 2018 to create a free trade zone.

Sargsyan said in the agreement with Iran list of goods with reciprocal decreased trade tariffs were written.
Eurasia Economic Union founded in year 2015 by membership of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus and then Armenia and Kyrgyzstan joined the union and in year 2016 Vietnam became member of the union.
More than 40 countries and international organizations, including China, Indonesia, the Zionist regime as well as Latin American countries have expressed readiness for joining the union.

The union has also negotiated with South Korea, Egypt and India for membership and cooperation.
