Myanmar Buddhist extremists attack aids shipped to Rohingya

A group of Buddhists tried to set fire with Molotov cocktails to a boat carrying 50 tons of humanitarian aids.

A witness said the protesters had iron or wood rods and tried to throw Molotov cocktails to stop the shipment.

Myanmar Police fired warning shots to disperse the crowd, and arrested eight of them.

The new wave of violence against the Muslim minority in Myanmar, started on August 25 with the Myanmar Army's attack, has caused global reactions; the UN called for penalizing the Myanmar Army for genocide of the Rohingya Muslims.

In the conflict, 400 Muslims have been brutally killed and 420,000 had to flee to neighboring Bangladesh; however, the de facto leader of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi claimed her government is trying to support all people in Rakhine, the Muslims' area.

Not only the Myanmar government does not recognize the Muslim minority as Myanmar citizens, but it also calls them illegal immigrants.
