
He urged influential countries to ask the UN Security Council and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to hold meeting in this regard.
Rahimi condemned criminal acts in Myanmar, and said that killing Muslims in Myanmar is taking place under such conditions that many of Islamic states are involved in domestic problems and are not paying attention to the issue.
He reminded that influential states should call on the UNSC to hold meeting in this concern, because situation in Myanmar is so deteriorated and it has turned into a complex issue.
Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has already issued statement to support Muslims in Myanmar and condemning crimes in that country and President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also took position on the issue.
The Iranian president also elaborated on the issue in his Kazakhstan visit.
Rahimi added that Iran requested to send humanitarian aids for Myanmar, but its government refused to accept it.
Violence over past weeks in Myanmar have left hundreds dead and tens of thousands homeless.
