Emphasizing that the most important achievement of the Islamic Republic in the last 40 years is honor and authority, Ali Akbar Velayati on Tuesday congratulated the 40th anniversary of the victory of the revolution in the meeting of “Achievements of 40-year Foreign Policy of Iran”.
'The foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past four decades has been a general and extensive subject, completely different from foreign policy before the revolution,' he added.
He said, 'Dignity, in addition to being an Islamic principle, is one of the historical features of the Iranian nation. Foreign policy, which at all times should be an estimate of public opinion within the country, and cannot fulfill the ambitions of this nation, cannot take into account the dignity of this nation.“
Former FM said, 'Perhaps the most important achievement of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past forty years is, along with its dignity, authority; a powerful military system that, relying on the abilities of the noble nation of Iran has been able, without relying on any external power to stand against the never-ending conspiracies of the domination system, especially the United States.
He further pointed to the definition of the authoritative foreign policy to the key words of 'the nation, resistance and peripheral environment' and said, 'The great nation of Iran is the founder of this revolution and its guardian which carefully and accurately protect its national interests and in the face of great problems, it will find the right way.'
