In a meeting with Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Heshmatollah Falahat-Pisheh, he added that promoting ties with Iran in political, economic and parliamentary fields is of high significance for the Russian government and nation.
Stressing the need for mutual cooperation between Duma Foreign Relations Committee and Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, he said that monitoring and pursuance of projects by both sides will play a crucial role in accelerating their implementation.
Denouncing US pressures on Tehran, Slutsky said that the US move is a sequel to its wrong and inconclusive policies of the country.
Increased collaboration between Tehran and Moscow will lead to the failure of the US mistaken policies, he said.
He also hailed Iran-Russia successful cooperation in fighting terrorism, saying that Tehran-Moscow collaboration in the region will contribute a lot to the establishment of peace and security in the region.
The Russian official also called for using the two parliaments’ capacities to remove obstacles in the way of bilateral cooperation and promoting consultations on bilateral, regional and international issues.
Falahat-Pisheh, for his part, referred to Iran-Russia significant and strategic relations, saying that boosting friendly interactions between Tehran and Moscow in various fields will play a significant role in bolstering bilateral ties and removing obstacles in the way of increasing cooperation.
Falahat-Pisheh also underlined the two countries’ capacities and capabilities in various fields, saying that they should be used in line with promoting trade and economic exchanges.
The Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission supports all the companies investing in the Iranian projects including development of Iranian oilfields.
Referring to the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, Falahat-Pisheh said that US President Donald Trump’s move to exit the international deal was a big mistake, which drew a wide wave of condemnation of the US by the other countries.
He called for Tehran-Moscow cooperation to counter US pressures on both countries.
