The director of the Islamic Republic News Agency's office in Mahabad said on Saturday that 66 photographs and historical documents on the presence of prominent Iranian figures in the United Nations events, the visit of seven UN chiefs to Iran, and a selection of projects implemented by the UN in Iran are exposed to the public for a week.
Manouchehr Samadi added that the collection of photographs and documents selected for this exhibition is related to the United Nations Information Center (UNIC)'s archive, IRNA, the Center for Documentation and Diplomatic History of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Institute for Contemporary History Studies of Iran.
He deemed as importance getting acquainted with the history of the United Nations in Iran, and reiterated that the exhibition, based on an agreement between UNIC and IRNA will be held in different provinces and the first exhibition in the current Iranian year will open in the city of Mahabad.
