Lebanese scholar: Muslims unity key to Palestine liberation

The main concern of all Muslims around the world, regardless of their different practices and approaches, should be the Islamic world, Sheikh Bilal Saeed Shaban said in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Now, 70 years after Palestine's occupation, we are at the Al-Aqsa gateway, and the unity between Shia and Sunni Muslims and their attempts to do away with trivial disputes among them, can lead to Al-Quds liberation, Shaban said.

The Muslims in various countries, including the Islamic countries, are well aware of the oppressions by the Zionist regime of Israel, he said.

We are on the threshold of liberating al-Quds, he added.

The secretary general of Lebanon's Islamic Tawheed Movement also said that supports given to the Zionist regime by some governments, including the United States, will not have any results.

Such supports are going to discredit them and they ultimately will come to realize that allying themselves with the occupiers is not going to secure their interests.

The Lebanese scholar said that in order to effectively stand against the hegemonists, Muslims should unite.

Unity among Muslims will ultimately result in the victory of Islam, Shaban said.
