Lebanese pres: US exit from JCPOA negatively affects regional security

President Aoun made the remarks speaking during a meeting in Beirut with Hossein Jaberi Ansari, a special aide to Iran's foreign minister on political affairs.

Lebanon regards Iran nuclear deal as a crucial factor in establishment of regional stability and believes the deal has a major share in the formation of a region free from Weapons of Mass Destruction, the president said.

He also welcomed the readiness of the remaining parties to Iran nuclear deal to preserve the deal expressed in a recent JCPOA commission session in Vienna.

Hailing Iran's efforts for putting an end to years of crisis in Syria, President Aoun said that accelerating the return of Syrian refugees can play an important role in ending the crisis in the country.
