He made the remarks in a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister's senior advisor Hossein Jaberi Ansari who is currently visiting the country to submit President Hassan Rouhani’s message to President Michel Aoun.
Referring to Lebanese victories over the Zionist regime in 2000 and 2006 and triumph over Takfiri terrorism, he said that regional states should stand united against enemies.
Ansari, for his part, said that the main aim behind his visit to Lebanon is to submit President Rouhani’s message to his Lebanese counterpart.
Iran considers its joint efforts with JCPOA partners to salvage the deal and take full advantage of it as a success for all the regional and international states in the face of US policy of unilateralism.
He also presented a report on Iran’s efforts within the framework of Astana Peace Talks to solve Syrian crisis, saying that paying attention to the political and humanitarian aspects of Syrian crisis is essential.
Ansari also said that Iran and Astana partners will continue with their constructive cooperation to pave the way for Syrian Constitution Committee to start work and return of Syrian refugees home.
Iranian forces are in Syria to offer advisory supports and their presence is taking place at the request of the Syrian government, he said.
Earlier, Ansari met with President Michel Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
