The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with judiciary officials on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of late Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Beheshti Hosseini and commemorating the national week of the Judiciary Branch, the chairman and officials of the Judiciary Branch, as well as the heads of Justice Departments from across the country.
Judiciary should be manifestation of justice and a calm shelter for people, said the Supreme Leader.
Judiciary is now targeted by domestic and foreign enemies to bring its performance under question, Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The role of the judiciary in fight against embezzlement and corruption is of prime importance, the Supreme Leader said.
