Iran’s patience wearing thin: Deputy FM

Araqchi, who is currently in Turkey for Iran-Turkey political consultations, reiterated that although the agreement was clinched between Iran and 5+1 Group but in principal it is an accord belonging to the global community.

Reiterating that the JCPOA is the sole diplomatic success of the region, Araqchi said that US exit from the deal reduced Iran’s trust in the international deals, as the US is seeking to destroy the only regional diplomatic achievement.

Referring to designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization by the US, he warned about conflict between the IRGC and the US forces in the Persian Gulf, saying that the two forces which have mutually been called terrorists can confront in the Persian Gulf or any other region, for which the US should stand accountable.

Describing Iran-Turkey relations as excellent as ever, Araqchi said that they are major players in the region living together peacefully for centuries.

Iran and Turkey have common stances and interests in the region, he said.
