Iran's defense minister invites Afghan counterpart to visit Tehran

In the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interests concerning providing security, maintaining regional stability and expansion of bilateral ties.

Bahrami said that stability in Afghanistan is beneficial for all countries of the region and expressed Iran's support for Afghanistan's government and nation.

Iran and Afghanistan have 936 kilometers common borders and their trade exchanges volume exceeds $ 2.2 billion annually.
