Iranian Parliament speaker's special advisor on international affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a recent exclusive interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) believes that the wars in region, like the empires' wane, are declining, and the wars on international arena also seem to have passed the height of tensions.
'The problem with the current round of regional conflicts was that the pace of diplomacy and political solutions have always been slower than the pace of developments, he added.
'Unfortunately in the international community, the political solutions found by some countries and organizations that were motivated to resolve the conflicts despite the attempts by some states to fuel the tensions in pursuit of their own interests, failed to catch up with the pace of developments in the region.'
Now, the wars are diminishing and its pace is almost the same as that of political solutions, the advisor said.
This is a point that should be resorted to realize the political solutions to put an end to the current conflicts, according to the Iranian politician.
'If the politicians and groups that are looking for international peace and security do not exploit the intersection, the region would witness a rise in crises and tensions, but this time in other forms,' he added.
Saudi Arabia that has been behind much of the unrests in the region now has come up with the conclusion that war cannot be regarded as a solution, according to him.
'That's why Riyadh, amid the climax of Yemen war, secretly sent an envoy to Iran, to ask Tehran help the Houthis and the Saudis talk with each other,' Amir-Abdollahian argued.
'Analyzing Yemen war showed them that Saudi Arabia cannot solve the problems by waging wars,' he said.
Amir-Abdollaian said that today, those who were trying to pursue their political goals through militarization and war, are exhausted which means that the resistance movement and the groups that are standing against warmongers, have succeeded.
'In other words, the warmongers in the west Asia are exhausted,' the Iranian politician reiterated.
