Iranian MP: Disloyalty to Iran nuclear deal isolates US

Answering a question on the fate of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as Iran Nuclear Deal, in case the US Congress annuls the deal, Alaeddin Boroujerdi responded, 'We are observing the countries about their commitments to the Deal. Iran will follow the issue through Iran's committee tasked with monitoring the implementation of the JCPOA and will react accordingly.'

He added that the US' quitting the deal will make it shaky; and Iran's reaction to it will be based on the US reaction and Iranian high-ranking officials' decisions.

Boroujerdi added that the JCPOA is an international deal and if the deal fails, all the signatories will be influenced.

He also said that all parties to the deal have been loyal to it, except the US.

Saying that Iran's commitment has been confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) eight times, Boroujerdi added that what US President Donald Trump says is against the US' commitments in the deal so not only he doesn't have the support of other countries, but also there are a lot of criticisms against him inside the US.

Boroujerdi, accompanied by a group of Majlis (Iran's parliament) members, arrived in Hanoi early this week to have meetings with parliamentary and political officials of Vietnam.
