Iranian FM Zarif confers with Niger counterpart

The meeting came after Iran-Niger Commercial Forum in Niamey which was attended by Zarif late on Thursday.

The two ministers discussed bilateral political and economic relations, regional and international developments and fighting terrorism.

Zarif arrived in Niger on the last leg of his African tour which earlier took him to South Africa and Uganda respectively.

Upon arrival in Niamey Airport late on Thursday, he was welcomed by his Niger counterpart Ibrahim Yacouba.
