Iranian company overhauls 1,357 helicopters

“Amid the backdrop of sanctions, Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Company (Panha, in Persian) has been able to overhaul 1, 357 types of helicopters, none of which have had any incidents so far,” Heydari said on Wednesday, addressing a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the company’s establishment.

He stressed that Panha has been able to bypass 'tyrannical' sanctions, cut Iran’s dependence and strengthen the power of air navigation over the past four decades.

The Iranian minister noted the company is “ready to meet all demands of Iranian armed forces, such as night vision equipment, increasing power and range of anti-armour missiles as well as overhaul of all helicopters in the country in the shortest time possible.”

Brigadier General Heydari also mentioned that “Islamic Iran has had amazing and big defense progress despite all the problems and enemies’ plots such as the eight-year war, cultural invasion and terrorism.” “In spite of all these, Iran has turned into one of the effective powers,” he emphasized.
