Iran urges Seoul to Keep Tehran ties despite sanctions

'Talks and meetings between the two countries' officials have always resulted in positive achievements,' President Rouhani said in a meeting with new Ambassador of the East Asian country, Jeong-Hyun Ryu.

Referring to various cooperation among Iranian and Korean companies particularly in the field of energy, President Rouhani said, 'Iran can be a sustainable, reliable source for South Korea's energy supply.'

At the meeting the new Korean ambassador submitted his credentials to the Iranian President.

Jeong-Hyun Ryu said relations between Seoul and Tehran have been on a faster track during the five recent years.

The new Korean envoy vowed that he would spare no effort to enhance further relations between the two countries.
