Iran urges France not to be impressed by Bin Salam’s insinuation

France, as one of the 5 + 1 members, is not expected to be under the influence of repeated and false allegations raised by Saudi Arabia that has always tried to confront Iran nuclear deal and prevent the realization of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by bearing great expenses, Bahram Qasemi said in reaction to the recent joint anti-Iran statement released by Saudi Arabia and France during Bin Salman's visit to Paris.

Contrary to the claims made in the statement, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always tried to maintain stability and security of the region and fight terrorism and terrorist groups, Qasemi said

The only way to restore security and tranquility to West Asia is to hold negotiations among regional countries, he added.

The FM spokesman also urged France to understand that such oppositions voiced against Iran are the result of the anger of some countries at Iran’s victory in combating terrorism which has been nourished by them.

French authorities probably know that Iran's missile program is of deterrent and defensive nature, and it's not against the security and interests of any country, he noted.

He went on to say that Iran missile program is based on bitter but valuable experiences and aimed at ensuring the security of the country and preventing aggressions by any crack-minded aggressor.

It is an internal matter and no country is allowed to interfere in this regard, he added.

French officials had better review their policies of selling arms to Saudi Arabia which are being used in killing innocent people of Yemen and causing a humanitarian disaster in the world, he said while rejecting allegations mentioned in the statement as regard alleged shipment of weapons by Iran to some regional countries.

He also urged France not to let its historic and cultural ties with a civilized country like Iran be influenced by adventurism of an inexperienced, proud and warmonger Saudi Crown Prince who has been accused by French courts for committing genocide in Yemen.
