Gharibabadi made the remarks in a meeting with Viroj Sumyai, President of the INCB.
He also emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting which was held to discuss promoting joint cooperation including INCB support for Iran anti-narcotics plans, both sides also highlighted boosting exchange of experiences and cooperation especially in discovering precursor and industrial drugs.
Expressing Iran’s support for INCB role, Gharibabadi officered concerns over illegal measures taken by some countries in legalizing some drugs which are being controlled by INCB.
He also underscored the importance of INCB expert role in controlling narcotics in the framework of international regulations.
The International Narcotics Control Board is the independent and quasi-judicial control organ for the implementation of the United Nations drug conventions.
