Iran, Turkey stress expansion of defense cooperation

In the meeting, attended by Iran's Deputy Minister of Defense Mohammad Ahadi and Deputy Chief of Staff General Umit Dundar, the two sides said promotion of bilateral military ties will lead to preserving regional peace, stability and security.

The two officials also underlined the significance of respecting the territorial integrity of the regional countries and protecting their national sovereignty.

Ahadi extended an invitation from Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami to his Turkish counterpart Nurettin Canikli to visit Tehran.

During his stay in Turkey, Ahadi visited several defense and industrial units in the country.
