Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said that air defense system which has been domestically developed will be completed soon.
He added that Bavar-373 is a long-range missile system which is capable of promptly destroying targets with high precision.
Comparing the Bavar-373 with its foreign-likes, he said it is certainly more capable.
He went on to say that Iran is producing some long-range and medium-range air defense systems.
With a range of over 200 km and 27km height, Iranian-made Bavar-373 enjoys more capabilities compared with Russian S-300.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayyari said that Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Academy showcased some air defense systems in Semnan drills recently.
