commander of Air base Khatam ul-Anbiya Brigadier General Ali-Reza Sabahfard expressed hope that 'good news' on Iran's indigenous missile defense system with long ranges will be announced by the end of this Persian year (March 20, 2019).
'Iran's air defense industry has become fully self-sufficient, transiting from reverse engineering and item manufacturing to designing and manufacturing the fully advanced air defense systems in accordance with global standards,' he said before Friday Prayer Leader sermons in Tehran.
'The enemies know that Iran is not after waging wars,' he said, issuing the warning of harsh response in case of any kind of aggression on the country.
Iran's defense and security policies are based on striking a balance between peace and security in the region, he said.
