Iran-Russia ties crucial for solving Syrian crisis: Deputy FM

Talking to IRNA at the end of his visit to Moscow on Tuesday, he said that he held useful talks with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bugdanov and Russian President’s Special Envoy on Syria Alexander Lavrentiev.

Jeberi Ansari, also Iran’s senior negotiator in Astana Peace Process, further noted that the meetings dealt with latest developments in the region.

He also said that necessary coordination for Syrian issues, fighting terrorism, political settlement of Syrian crisis and next steps to that effect were dealt with during the meetings.

Dialogue between Iran and Russia on completing the process for diplomatic settlement of Syrian crisis is useful, he said.

Tehran-Moscow relations are crucial for ending Syrian crisis and will leave positive impact on regional collaboration, Jaberi Ansari said.
