Sacred Defense has brought about dignity for Iran, Brigadier General Ramazan Sharif said on Thursday.
Thanks to Iran military knowledge and power, enemies are not capable of standing against the country, he added.
The Iran-Iraq 1980-1988 war was one of the longest wars imposed on Iran under the Western countries' support, he noted.
Mujahedeen-e Khalq terrorist organization (MKO) and Saddam were under command of the US and the Global Arrogance, he said.
Iranians slammed the brutal terrorist attack in southwestern city of Ahvaz, Sharif said.
They also called for taking revenge, he added.
At least 25 people, including women and children, were killed and more than 60 others injured during September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of the eight-year imposed war on Iran.
The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
About thirty countries have so far condemned the terror attack in Iran.
Earlier Intelligence Ministry in a statement announced identification of perpetrators of September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz.
