'The important point in Iranian power is that it is defensive,' said Colonel Ali Seifi on Friday evening in the ceremony to commemorate Iran's Holy Defense Week (September 22-28) where Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh was present.
Seifi said that in the past 40 years Iran has produced weaponry to defend itself and make the enemies write off attack on Iran.
'Various missiles, drones, satellites and other advanced military equipment, along with strong faith and will, have made Iran the safest country in the regions.'
He also said that Iran has had outstanding progress in economy, medicine, peaceful nuclear energy, and that’s why the US and Zionist regime are hostile to Iran.
Colonel Seifi said Iran will continue the path of grandeur regardless of the dual behavior and remarks of the enemy and is ready to cooperate with friendly and brotherly countries.
Referring to the eight-year (1980-88) Holy Defense against West-backed Saddam, Colonel Seifi said, 'During the war, we learned to stand against the oppressors with empty hand.'
