“Today, Turkey, Iran and Russia together have been able to defeat the enemies’ plots,” Iran Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjatoleslam Ali Qazi Asgar told Turkish Ambassador to Iran Derya Örs.
He called for strengthening regional unity between the three countries against regional and international terrorism as well as Islamophobia. “The situation is critical today and while some countries are trying to create sedition in regional states using their money, strengthening the regional unity and using each other’s resources must be prioritized.”
The Iranian official stressed that Turkey and Ankara can further cooperate together to eradicate terrorism in the region. “The world should know who exactly is supporting terrorists,” he noted.
The Turkish envoy, for his part, said that his country’s priority is futher developing ties with Iran.
“The situation in the region is critical,” Örs warned, reiterating that unity in thoughts and actions between Iran and Turkey can effectively resolve the problems.
He emphasised that the Iran-Turkey-Russia alliance has shown “they won’t accept interference by other non-regional states'.
