Iran lauds border cooperation with Turkey

Due to joint efforts made by the Iranian and Turkish border guards, the two countries enjoy close border cooperation, the Commander of Iran Border Guards Brigadier General Qasem Rezaei said.

He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Iran and Turkey have 566 km of joint border and improvement of their cooperation in the border is necessary, the commander added.

Commenting about the goals of his visit to Turkey, Rezaei said that he will discuss unintentional passage of citizens from the border lines as well as constructions, there.
