
Speaking to IRNA, Naser Behzad said the proposal to set up a council has been debated with the Iraqi counterparts to advance economic cooperation between the two countries.
He added that the business council of Iraq is an independent organization which is active in the field of construction, commerce, technology, engineering and trade.
Elites, influential figures in foreign and domestic investment are the members of the council, he noted.
Behzad went on to say that the proposal has been made by Iran to establish the joint council.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the importance of institutionalization in developing mutual cooperation.
He reiterated the fact that paving the way for carrying out systematic trade activities can be effective in developing trade.
He went on to say that the council has been established aiming at stabilizing strategic relations and social activities based on trade, commercial and civil plans.
