Iran, Iraq discuss ways to strengthen military ties

Iran's deputy minister of defense also met Iraqi Defense Minister Caretaker Mohammad-Javad al-Ebadi in a separate event.

Iran and Iraq, alongside Syria and Russia, have cooperation in the framework of countering terrorism, especially Daesh (ISIS).

The intelligence command center for the quadrilateral cooperation to fight terrorism is headquartered in Baghdad.
